Heavy Jersey Fabric – Pia Print Limited Edition | Atelier 27

$15.95 USD

Designed by independent studio Atelier 27, this heavy jersey brings an early-summer favorite print to life — straw yellow, terracotta, plum, and soft green over a deep black ground. This print is produced in a single small run in France and will not be reprinted once sold out.

Substantial and stable for a jersey, with enough weight and stretch to hold structure in a T-shirt while still moving comfortably in a dress — a considered choice for garments you'll reach for all season.

Sold by the half yard.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What can I sew with this fabric?

T-shirts, cardigans, dresses, and shorts — substantial enough to hold its shape, with enough stretch to stay comfortable.

How much fabric do I need for a T-shirt or dress?

Fabric is sold by the half yard, cut in one continuous piece. A fitted T-shirt typically takes 2–3 half-yard units, and a dress 5–6, depending on your pattern.

Will it shrink?

Yes — this jersey shrinks about 5% along the straight grain on the first wash. Pre-wash before cutting so your finished garment keeps its fit.

Is it see-through?

No — at 230 g/m² it is opaque.

What needle and thread should I use?

A ballpoint or stretch needle (80/12–90/14, given the fabric's substantial weight) with all-purpose polyester thread; test on a scrap first.

Is it really limited edition?

Yes — Atelier 27 prints each design in a single small run in France and never reprints it. When our bolt sells out, this print is gone for good. We stock it here in the US, so there are no import shipping, tariff, or customs processing fees.
