My Dress Made is an independent French sewing brand based near Lyon. Its founder, Anne, learned to sew from her mother at the age of 7. She started the My Dress Made blog in 2015 and turned it into a company in 2022, designing her own sewing patterns and exclusive garment fabrics. The fabrics are designed in France, and most of the prints are printed there too.
What we carry
Viscose crepes, twills and poplins, textured slub viscose, satin-textured viscose, a viscose jersey and printed cottons. Several use ECOVERO™ viscose, and My Dress Made says its viscose comes from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. Each listing gives the composition, weight, width and country of origin.
Limited prints and core solids
My Dress Made aims to produce "just the right quantity" to avoid waste, so most prints are limited runs released seasonally. Once our bolt of a limited print sells out, that print is gone. In summer 2026 My Dress Made added a small core collection of solid colors, including the Klein Blue and Khaki viscose crepes, which we can reorder.
All fabric is sold by the half yard and cut to order as one continuous length. For fabrics printed in France, there are no import, tariff or customs fees for you.
