Buttons

Buttons are the punctuation of a handmade garment — and the right one changes everything. Our button collection is curated entirely from independent designers, bringing together six materials and styles to cover every kind of make, from a delicate blouse to a statement wool coat.

From Matchy Matchy Sewing Club: custom-dyed corozo nut buttons cut from tagua palm seeds in five coordinating colors — Caramel, Jadite, Midnight, Milk, and Onyx — available in sizes 1/2" to 1"; natural shell buttons in heart, flower, and square shapes with a soft iridescent sheen, sold in sets of 12; and tortoiseshell resin buttons in warm amber and brown tones for a classic, polished finish.

From French indie designer Atelier 27: hand-finished gold metal shank buttons in multiple styles — from delicate 8mm details to bold statement closures — sold individually so you can buy exactly what your project needs.

From Sarah Hearts: plant-based cellulose acetate buttons in playful novelty shapes — bows, hearts, daisies, strawberries, quilt stars, and tortoiseshell — in 5/8" and 1" sizes for garments and kids' makes alike.

From Infamous Cuts: laser-cut glitter acrylic buttons in heart, flower, and classic shapes — for when you want your buttons to be the whole point.

Sizes range from 1/2" to 1". Every button here is chosen because it earns its place on a handmade garment.
