The Hughes is the perfect everyday dress. It features Viennese seams, gathered sleeves, and a gorgeous scoop neckline. The bodice is lined and the skirt has an a-line sweep. It buttons up the front and has an adjustable lace-up tie in the back. The tie can be cinched in or loosened depending on desired fit. The Hughes Dress is designed to be a timeless style with beautiful construction details that can be treasured for generations.
This pattern is for personal and non-profit use only.
Designed by Friday Pattern Company, the independent pattern label Chelsea started in 2017. Every Friday pattern goes through a testing process, includes seam allowances, and is drafted for a B cup and a height of 5'6" (168 cm). Friday Pattern Company donates 5% of proceeds to charity. The Hughes includes A/B and C/D bust cup options.

Designed for wovens; any dress-weight woven is suitable. A drapey rayon or silk gives an elegant, dressy look, while a sturdier linen makes a gorgeous everyday dress.
Main fabric, 45" wide: 3.33 yd (3 m) for XS–M, 3.75 yd (3.4 m) for L–XXL, 4.25 yd (3.9 m) for 1X–4X, 4.7 yd (4.3 m) for 5X–7X.
