Designed by independent studio Atelier 27, this knit fabric features the Millie floral print in soft pink, light blue, green, and lavender tones set against an ivory background. Use a stretch or ballpoint needle and test stitch length and tension on a scrap before sewing. A walking foot can help feed the knit evenly. Prewash before cutting to allow for any minimal shrinkage and to soften the fabric hand.

What can I sew with this fabric?

How much fabric do I need for a dress or blouse?

Fabric is sold by the half yard, cut in one continuous piece. A fitted top typically takes 2–3 half-yard units, a blouse or shirt 3–4, and a midi dress 5–6 — order 4 units for 2 continuous yards.

Will it shrink?

A little — even though polyester and elastane fibers themselves are dimensionally stable, the knit loop structure can settle and tighten up on first wash, independent of the fiber. That's usually a modest 2–5%, but it's why we recommend pre-washing before cutting — that way your fabric is already in the state it'll be worn in, and your finished garment keeps the fit you're expecting.

Is it see-through?

No — at 190 g/m² it is opaque; unlined garments are fine.

What needle and thread should I use?

A stretch or ballpoint needle (75/11–80/12) with all-purpose polyester thread. Use a narrow zigzag or stretch stitch, and test on a scrap first.

Yes — Atelier 27 prints each design in a single small run in France and never reprints it. When our bolt sells out, this print is gone for good. We stock it here in the US, so there are no import shipping, tariff, or customs processing fees.
