Revel Topper – Printed Pattern | Sew House Seven

$24.00 USD

The Revel Topper is a quick and satisfying make but don't let that fool you. The simple design offers some unique design features. The Revel pairs well with high waist pants and skirts and looks great as a short top but is also just long enough to tuck into a high to mid-rise bottom.

All versions feature a cut-on shawl collar and yoke-like collar facing. The collar facing can be attached from the inside or outside of the front allowing for either a more concealed construction or a purposeful yoke with the opportunity for color blocking, pattern mixing, embroidery, etc.

Version A of the Topper is sleeveless and semi-cropped. Although it features bust darts, the fit is fairly loose through the bust and waist and the sleeveless armholes fall off the shoulders and become cut-on short sleeves. The sleeves also have deep facings that are stitched down.

Version B is the same cut and fit as version A, although it has a slightly longer and narrower cut-on sleeve with a wide cuff that lands just above the elbow.

Version C is a modified poncho with wide, bracelet length sleeves. This version is very loose and does not have darts.

Both Curvy & Standard fits are included in the envelope. This is a printed tissue pattern that will be shipped to your door.

Designed by Sew House Seven, the independent pattern company Peggy launched in 2014 in the Pacific Northwest. Sew House Seven bases its sizing on current ready-to-wear sizing, and its Curvy fit is drafted for a smaller frame with curves: a larger bust, narrower shoulders and a smaller front armhole.

📏 Sizing

Both fits in one envelope: Standard sizes 00–20 and Curvy sizes 16–34
Standard bust: 31–47 in (79–119 cm); high bust 29–45 in (74–114 cm)
Curvy bust: 43½–61½ in (111–156 cm); high bust 40–58 in (102–147 cm)
The Revel has a lot of ease, so Sew House Seven advises choosing your size by frame (shoulders, neck and torso length) rather than sizing down for bust, waist or hip. Finished length from centre back neck is 19½–22¼ in (49.5–56.5 cm). Full body and finished-measurement charts for both fits are in the photos.
