Frequently Asked Questions
What can I sew with this fabric?
Breezy dresses, blouses, skirts, and children's clothing. The puckered seersucker texture keeps its shape without ironing.
How much fabric do I need for a dress or blouse?
Fabric is sold by the half yard, cut in one continuous piece. A fitted top typically takes 2–3 half-yard units, a blouse or shirt 3–4, and a midi dress 5–6 — order 4 units for 2 continuous yards.
Will it shrink?
Minimal — recycled polyester is stable. A cold pre-wash relaxes the fabric; skip high heat to protect the puckered texture.
Is it see-through?
No — at 115 g/m² it is opaque; unlined garments are fine.
What needle and thread should I use?
A fine universal needle (70/10–80/12) with all-purpose polyester thread; avoid stretching the fabric as you sew to preserve the puckering.
Is it really limited edition?
Yes — Atelier 27 prints each design in a single small run in France and never reprints it. When our bolt sells out, this print is gone for good. We stock it here in the US, so there is no import shipping or customs from France.
