How much fabric do I need for a dress or blouse?

Fabric is sold by the half yard, cut in one continuous piece. A fitted top typically takes 2–3 half-yard units, a blouse or shirt 3–4, and a midi dress 5–6 — order 4 units for 2 continuous yards.

Will it shrink?

Very little — polyester is dimensionally stable. Pre-wash cold before cutting and hang to dry.

Is it see-through?

It is semi-sheer by design — plan to line dresses and skirts, or embrace the sheerness in layering pieces, wraps, and blouses worn over a camisole.

What needle and thread should I use?

A microtex needle (60/8–70/10) with fine polyester thread; French seams give the cleanest finish. Keep the iron low over the lurex dots.
