Designed by independent studio Atelier 27, this organic cotton poplin features the Minnie print — small black hearts scattered across a white background. How much fabric do I need for a dress or blouse?

Fabric is sold by the half yard, cut in one continuous piece. A fitted top typically takes 2–3 half-yard units, a blouse or shirt 3–4, and a midi dress 5–6 — order 4 units for 2 continuous yards.

Will it shrink?

A little — as a natural cellulosic fiber, cotton can shrink slightly (typically a few percent) on first wash. We recommend pre-washing before cutting so your fabric is already in the state it'll be worn in.

Is it see-through?

It is semi-opaque — fine unlined for blouses, dresses, and children's clothing, though for fitted white garments a quick hold-to-the-light check or a slip is worth it.

What needle and thread should I use?

A fine universal or microtex needle (70/10) with all-purpose polyester thread and a short 2–2.2 mm stitch length.
