Polyester Elastane Mousseline Fabric – Appolline in Glacier Blue Limited Edition | Atelier 27
Designed by independent studio Atelier 27, this semi-sheer polyester-elastane mousseline features the Appolline floral print in glacier blue, white, green, and ochre on an airy lightweight base. It has fluid drape and gentle movement that make it ideal for floaty blouses, occasion dresses, overlays, scarves, and layering pieces.
The hand is lightweight with an airy mousseline construction. It drapes and flows easily, offering gentle movement and a floaty silhouette. As a semi-sheer fabric, it is best lined when used for dresses and skirts, or layered over a slip or camisole for blouses and tops.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I sew with this fabric?
Floaty blouses, overlays, occasion dresses (with lining), scarves, and layering pieces.
How much fabric do I need for a dress or blouse?
Fabric is sold by the half yard, cut in one continuous piece. A fitted top typically takes 2–3 half-yard units, a blouse or shirt 3–4, and a midi dress 5–6 — order 4 units for 2 continuous yards.
Will it shrink?
No — polyester is a synthetic, heat-set fiber with negligible shrinkage; pre-wash before cutting is still recommended since the hand/texture can relax slightly.
Is it see-through?
Yes — at 50 g/m² this mousseline is semi-sheer. Line dresses and skirts, or layer it over a slip or camisole.
What needle and thread should I use?
A microtex needle (60/8–70/10) with fine polyester thread; French seams and a shorter stitch length keep this floaty fabric tidy.
Is it really limited edition?
Yes — Atelier 27 prints each design in a single small run in France and never reprints it. When our bolt sells out, this print is gone for good. We stock it here in the US, so there are no import shipping, tariff, or customs processing fees.
