The Gorgeous Godet Top works best with lightweight knits with four-way stretch. Jersey, ITY and other light stretch knits are ideal. Wider fabric is recommended, as this top has some large pieces.
“With nap” layouts are provided for directional prints or luxe fabrics, such as stretch velvet.
This pattern is not suitable for striped fabrics for the bodice - but try a contrasting godet in horizontal or vertical stripes to add dimension. Contrasting godets take about a yard of fabric.

The pattern package includes all 11 sizes of the pattern, printed in black ink on one folded sheet of sturdy paper, not tissue. The package also includes a black-and-white stapled paper instruction booklet and a full-color paper quick start guide with fashion illustrations, technical drawings, size charts and a list of materials to sew the pattern. The size charts list body measurements and finished pattern measurements. The quick start guide also provides a description of the pattern and an explanation of Style Falcon's cut and fit.
The entire package measures 8.5 by 5.5 inches (21.5 cm by 14 cm). It is bundled into a clear zip-top plastic bag, with a margin of ½ inch (13 mm) at the top for hanging if desired.
